GreenBe has developed a digital engagement customer portal used by utilities and government to host customer facing digital programs. The portal helps to drive customer behaviours around energy and water usage, resource demand management, health and wellbeing, sustainability and community building.
COVID-19 has accelerated the adoption of the GreenBe platform by utilities and local government that require enhanced virtual solutions to interact with their customers. City of Newcastle collaborated with GreenBe during COVID-19 to rapidly deploy 'Lean in Newy',
a social action and economic incentive app to support small business and encourage volunteering.
The startup employs seven full-time staff and is using its growth to provide more opportunities for female graduates. Newcastle’s innovation ecosystem helps support the growth of startups such as GreenBe enter global markets and build local economic opportunities.
