Gym Junkie

  • The Forum – Harbourside is an awesome space, in the heritage woodstores. I have it on good authority that the weights and machines are the best in town. Make sure you take our ID in and it cost $20 for a casual visit.
  • Anytime fitness – as you know you can hit these awesome gyms up anytime. They also offer a free trail. The Newcastle West site is brand new and massive to meet any of your gym needs.
  • Beach Walk
  • Walking the city beaches are a great way to start the day! Check out this itinerary for a 6km walk or just head east and explore your own way.

Don’t Rush Off!

There is so much more to see and do! Check out the Visit Newcastle website.

Why not have a long lunch at the Merewether Surf Club followed by a swim at the Merewether Baths.

Try a casual lunch and some barefoot bowls at Lowlands or at the Bar Beach Bowlo.

Or jump on the ferry and check out the city from the northern shore of the Hunter River. Take a short walk to Lexi’s on Stockton Beach.

Pick up a picnic and take it to one of Newcastle’s beautiful parks or take a bush walk through Glenrock Reserve.

If street art is your thing, take the Big Picture Festival self-guided tour.
